Austin Nevin was the outstanding talent on show in this game as his movement and passing created chance after chance for his team-mates. Dan O' Shea once more proved a class act and he with JP O'Rourke lead from the back. Denis Mc Cormack refuses to grow old gracefully and gave another bustling performance from midfield aided by the powerful Paddy Cassidy.

Wed. 16.04.08 U-10s
Caragh continued their under 10 campaign on Wednesday 16th April when they hosted Maynooth. The game started as a very evenly contested affair with both defenses clearly on top and neither side managed to register a score in the first ten minutes. Playing with a stiff breeze, Maynooth were first off the mark and knocked over a couple of well taken points. Sean Hannon and Lorcan Behan combined well late on to reduce the half time deficit to the minimum. The second half started well with lots of good possession for the Caragh lads but this unfortunately failed to result in any further scores. Gradually Maynooth took control of midfield and added a number of well taken sores. Once again it was down to tremendous rearguard action by Ryan Lynam, Ciarán Molloy and Dara Kearns which kept the score in check but despite adding a late goal Caragh came up short and Maynooth ran out worthy winners.
Team: Ryan Lynam, Ciarán Molloy, Dara Kearns, Stephen Scully, Cian Ritchie, Liam Kennedy, Christopher Delaney, Adam Montgommery, Lorcan Behan, Ruadhan Glover and Sean Hannan.
Subs: Johnny Ryan, Liam Molloy, George Colville.

Wed. 16.04.08 SFL Div 3
Sarsfields 2-11 Caragh 2-8
Having dominated the fist half and been eight points up at one stage, the lads dramatically took their foot off the pedal to allow the home team in for victory. Many key players missing and concentration levels were primarily to blame. Pierre Fay and Austin Nevin dominated the scoring for the Prosperous side with 1-3 and 1-2 apiece.

12.04.08 SFL Div 3
Rheban 2-12 Caragh 2-5
Once again the Prosperous side were missing several regulars in what is an extremely tough fixture at the best of times. They could also say they were the authors of their own downfall missing many easy scoring chances. Denis Mc Cormack worked tirelessly at mid-field while from the full forward spot Pierre Fay posed a lot of problems for the Rheban defence. Michael Browne, JP O' Rourke and Dan O' Shea played well in defence. Scorers; Pierre Fay 2-0, Austin Nevin 0-2, Denis Mc Cormack 0-2, John Coughlan 0-1, Derek Casey 0-1.

Sat 12.04.08 U-8s
Under 8's played Cappagh away on Saturday. Both sides were short a number of regulars. Despite the bad conditions Caragh took control of the game from the start and won all four quaters winning with a final score of 10-3. The blocking by the Carragh team was superb. This was their third game and it is great to watch them grow in confidence. A huge thanks to the many parents for transporting the lads to the match and for their encouragement from the sideline.
Caragh Team;Sean Scully, Liam Dempsey,RianMaxwell,Alex Boothman,Darragh Kearns, Eoghan O'Haire, Josh McKeowan, Eoin Wallace, Eoin Carolan, Jake O'Brien and David Barrett

05.04.08 U-9s
The Caragh under 9 lads started their Spring league campaign with a visit to Ardclough on Saturday. Right from the throw in Caragh took control of the game with Liam Kennedy and David Barrett winning everything in midfield. This midfield dominance ensure a supply of quality ball for Lorcan Behan and Sean Hanna up front who took a number of fine scores between them whilst Rudhan Glover, Liam Molloy and Jack Hooton-Byrne dealt with any threat coming from the Ardclough forwards. The pattern continued in the second half with Ciaran Molloy and Christopher Delaney taking several fine scores. They were ably assisted by Josh Moran, Josh McKeown and Johnny Ryan. Caragh kept up the pressure right to the end to conclude a deserved win and ensure a fine start to their league campaign. Their next outing is at home to Kill on Saturday the 19th of April.
Team: Ciarán Molloy, Ruadhan Glover, Jack Hooton-Byrne, Liam Molloy, Liam Kennedy, Christopher Delaney, David Barrett, Lorcan Behan, Sean Hannon, Josh Mc Keown, Josh Moran and Johnny Ryan

08.04.08 U-12s
The under 12s enjoyed a great win away to Straffan on a scoreline of 4-5 to 0-7. This was a great all-round team performance.

SUN. MARCH 30 SFL Div 3
Clogherinke 1-11 Caragh 2-7
Caragh lost out by a single kick of the ball in this one. Missing captain Kevin Dempsey through injury this was always going to be a tricky encounter. Pierre Fay started at mid-field but when moved to full forward turned in a man-of-the-match display. Scorers; Austin Nevin 0-4, Pat Mc Cormack 1-1, Pierre Fay 1-1,Richard Whelan 0-1.

SAT. MARCH 22 SFL Div 3
Cappagh 1-5 Caragh 4-7
The Prosperous side dominated all aspects of this game in all positions, and but for some great Cappagh goal-keeping the scoreline could have been a lot greater.
On a cold evening Caragh took no time to settle on the lovely away surface. Denis Mc Cormack lead the line with three points in the space of six minutes, the best being a 40 metre effort starting with a tenacious Dan O' Shea tackle in defence. The opening goal came in the eight minute from Paddy Cassidy. In an intricate passing move Alan Dunney gained possession, Michael Browne and Ivan Moran were also involved before a neat hand pass by Austin Nevin put the big mid-fielder in for the goal. Things got from bad to worse for Cappagh when a rampant Caragh scored two more goals in the 11th and 22nd minutes from Austin Nevin and Dominic Campbell respectively.
On the stroke of half-time Tom Grogan got a fist to a speculative ball into the Caragh goal-mouth to leave the sores 1-1 to 3-4 at the interval.
The second have began like the first had with Denis Mc Cormack getting in for a point in the first minute before brilliantly wrong-footing the Cappagh defence to score the Prosperous side's final goal. The game petered out from this point on with both sides playing to the inevitable end. Pierre Fay made a fine debut appearance for his new club and pointed in the 8th minute. Pierre's presence will be invaluable to this Caragh team.
Cappagh battled gamely til the end but left themselves with way too much work to do. Dan O' Shea and Paddy Cassidy never put a foot wrong in the Caragh defence and midfield, while Denis Mc Cormack and Austin Nevin were outstanding up front.
